Low-cost Ways to Boost Morale

Are you looking for new ways to motivate your workers? If extra salary or expensive fringe benefits do not fit into the company budget right now, some lower-cost measures might help improve morale. Consider these ideas:

*Order in pizza or some other take-out food. Have a lunch with the entire staff for no particular reason.

*Flip on the office television for a half-hour. Give everyone a well-deserved break from the usual humdrum.

*Hold the weekly staff meeting at an outside location such as a coffee shop, museum or library. You can even go outside if the weather is cooperating.

Be creative. You do not necessarily have to spend a lot of money to pump up the troops. Do some investigation into the best motivators for your workforce.
